Testra T6 and patch lead

Hi all, I know another phone question, I was curious to know if any one had the Testra T6 and a patch lead setup to an external antenna we will be doing some serious km's over the chrissie break and am looking for a pre-paid phone that can run off an external antenna has any one got this setup and how does it perform? thanks guys

I have a LG TU550 with Patch lead and bullbar mounted 7dBi Omni Antenna.
I live out of major centre and have improved Telstra NextG reception by 30-50 odd kilometres where I have travelled since. (NT and Kimberleys)

I too have the LG Tu550 and purchased a patch lead ($14) and magnetic base antenna ($56) which I use when out of the metro area. Just have it packed away until I am out of range for normal mobile. Works great.
